The role of Pensions Technical Lead will be working on an existing project supporting and overseeing the administration of master trusts. You will be working in close partnership with the head of workplace pension trusts and ensuring high standards of service delivery, providing expert guidance on complex cases and driving operational improvements. You will be central to maintaining technical excellence across the administration teams and ensuring regulatory compliance and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide expert technical support across all administration teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Review and enhance processes to drive efficiency and best practices within the teams.
- Assist team leaders with the quality checking of standard and complex member cases.
- Support the checking and resolution of reconciliation cases.
- Contribute to the administration aspects of pension transition projects.
- Deliver clear, professional, and timely communication to clients.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed service levels.
- Proactively escalate any issues, breaches, or complaints to the appropriate parties.
- Document and report identified risks in line with internal protocols.
- Take ownership of individual tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain required competence in accordance with the company policy.
- Support the team in achieving overall objectives and performance targets.
What we’d like to see from your application:
- Previous senior level DC pension administration experience.
- Understanding or experience in DC master trusts.
- Strong pensions knowledge to support compliance.
- Experience as a team leader.
- Strong general computer skills, comfortable with MS Office (especially Excel) and other system functionality.
Location: Remote
The rate on offer: £500 a day via Umbrella
Hours: 37.5 hr per week.
Duration: 3 months initially.
