The Implementation Consultant will need to configure the client’s suite of administration products for their clients, using available tools including proficiency in the use of T-SQL, SQL, XML and Excel macros. You will collaborate with stakeholders and department heads to successfully implement calculation automation for a variety of benefit designs aligned with legislative requirements. You will need to manage multiple workstreams of differing complexities and scale and prioritise tasks effectively to keep implementation projects on track.
The Implementation Consultant will require strong pensions knowledge, implementation experience, technical knowledge and exceptional analytical approach to ensure compliant and accurate outcomes.
The Implementation Consultant will be part of the client delivery team and will liaise with clients to gather their requirements, produce specifications and configure the functionality requested. There may be an occasional need to travel to client sites to do this.
What you’ll be doing as a Implementation Consultan:
- You are responsible for all aspects of configuring the client’s administration system to meet their clients’ requirements, including but not limited to, the configuration of workflows, data maintenance screens, interfaces with other systems, pensioner payroll, data migrations, reports and benefit calculations.
- Meeting with clients to gather requirements and communicating regularly throughout the software customisation process to obtain feedback and approval.
- Customising software systems based on client’s individual needs and specifications.
- Collaborating with training teams and educating clients on how to use their administration system and customised system features.
- Creating documentation for clients and for internal use.
- Providing support in the software release process and software upgrade process when required.
- Building relationships with team members and all internal and external clients.
What we’d like to see from your application:
- Experience in implementing software systems within pensions industry.
- Collaborative and consultative approach to client engagement and ability to communicate technical concepts in accessible language.
- An understanding of pensions business processes and workflows.
- Proficiency with T-SQL, Microsoft SQL server management, XML and Microsoft – full suite.
- The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and deliver rapid outcomes.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and organisational skills.
- Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution calculations experience.
- Configuring or developing pensions or financial services software.
- Alternative programming knowledge such as developing Excel macros or similar.
- IntelliPen / IntelliCalcs experience would be advantageous.
Location: Remote. However, you may need to travel to client sites around the UK when required.
The rate on offer: Competitive day rates via umbrella contract dependant on experience.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Duration: 6 months with opportunity to extend.
