Role Summary
The data lead will take responsibility for driving technical data management, audit readiness, and regulatory alignment across the organisation. This role requires strong data architecture understanding, practical technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable data solutions.
You will lead a data team, work closely with senior stakeholders, and play a key role in supporting FCA compliance, data quality, and secure data handling.
What you’ll be doing as a Data and Reporting Lead
- Oversee data architecture, data warehouse frameworks, and best practice ETL processes.
- Support and lead activities related to FCA audits, reviewing regulatory consultation papers and interpreting legal and compliance requirements.
- Translate regulatory expectations into data requirements, working closely with developers and data engineers.
- Perform a QA audit on the quality of data being coded against output.
- Experience communicating and planning at stakeholder level.

- Understanding of ISO, data security and GDPR policies.
- Proficiency with SQL, excel and access.
- Experience writing technical and regulatory documentation for varied audiences.
- Comfortable balancing technical work with leadership and governance responsibilities.
Hours: 37.5 hr week.
Duration: 3 - 6 months.
Core hours: 9am to 5.30pm.
Location: Hybrid
Training: One week.
