As a compliance and risk manager you will be responsible for day to day management activities, business strategy planning, risk management, regulatory advice and internal and external audit activity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reportioning into the head of risk and compliance and attending departmental management meetings.
- Delivering operational compliance and risks functions to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Continuously reviewing the existing process and embedding compliance policies, processes and procedures.
- Maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes and the impact to the business.
- Oversight of annual and ad hoc regulatory reporting obligations.
- Ensuring that operational risk and control framework is embedded across the business.
- Completing risk assessments to detect inconsistencies and gaps in the process.
- Production of management information and collation of reports for key stakeholders.
- Overseeing the workload of the compliance team and delegating tasks.
- Monitoring first line of defence activities to ensure appropriate controls and quality assurance is in place.
- Maintaining good customer outcomes.
What we’d like to see from your application:
- Previous experience managing a compliance and risk team.
- Regulatory knowledge including CONC, PRIN, SYSC, DISP, SUP.
- Strong communication to provide accurate and concise advice to the business and build relationships.
- Experience working in a financial services company
- Motor finance regulatory experience would be advantageous.
- User experience of Microsoft 365 products.
Location: Bracknell.
The rate on offer: £500 to £600 per day via Umbrella (rate dependant on experience.)
Hours: 37.5 hr week Monday to Friday. 9am - 5:30pm
Duration: 3 months initial with opportunity for extension.
