We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has a background in cyber security projects to join an exciting new contract. You will be reporting to the Chief Risk Officer & working with colleagues in the UK & US, and will be responsible for mobilising & leading projects that implement second line processes and controls into our North American units. In addition, you will be developing strong working relationships with a broad stakeholder group across multiple divisions globally, and ensuring realisation of expected business benefits and on time delivery.
Location: Crawley
The rate on offer is £750 - £850 per day dependant on experience and this will be Via Umbrella
Hours: 37.5 hrs Monday to Friday
There is flexibility to work from home however, candidates must be happy to travel to the client’s site in London or Crawley for project team meetings once a month.
As a Cyber Security Project Manager, you will:
- Proven experience of delivering major technology projects and programmes with budgets in excess of £1m
- Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, flexibility and self-organisation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to resolve conflict and manage challenging situations
- Strategy & Planning skills
- Roll out a number of controls/control functions into the US
- Ensuring delivery to agreed business objectives, requirements, schedules, costs and quality objectives
- Establish, control and monitor project/programme timescales and budgets, obtaining appropriate approvals and authorisations, considering dependencies and taking appropriate action to overcome delays, difficulties or cost overruns
- Provide direction and support to Project Managers and the business to ensure a smooth project/programme initiation enabling budget approval and project prioritisation
- Plan, communicate and implement change ensuring all those affected fully understand the nature and implications of such changes.
- To establish and maintain good relationships with the business sponsors and provide objective guidance and advice to Project Managers and the business to ensure effective implementation
- Ensure that all project risks are understood, and counter measures identified, minimising risk to the organisation, and maximising quality and timeliness of all deliverables
- Report project status
- Ensure that project management methodology is adhered to and all project documentation is developed and maintained to agreed standards
In order to be considered for this role you must have the following skills:
- Security Project Delivery Experience across a Security Programme
- Experience developing and launching legal and regulatory Compliance Monitoring Frameworks including compliance with BSI, ISO, PCI DSS, and their associated accreditations.
- Defined, produced, and implemented strategies, policies, processes in a Data & Info Sec function, including - ISMS, BCP, Data protection & governance, Document mgmt.
- Delivered Information Security Projects Across: Audit, 3rd Party Risk, GDPR, Financial Crime & Data Loss Prevention tools.
- Experience delivering projects in Data & Info Sec functions preferably in regulated environments.
- Working experience of delivering projects within control environments
- Working experience of project management methodologies
- Proven ability to implement global Change Management programmes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge supportively and effectively where appropriate
- Demonstrable experience in producing and delivering quality presentations to both internal and external customers.
